Introduction

For many years now Gtown Surf School have provided a range of excellent Summer Camps & fun for kids and teenagers alike. This year, 2010 we have a great range of summer camps to cater for all age groups and we have also introduced some new options.

Last year we offered for the first time, a Surf Camp for 5 to 7 years olds which were very successful. This year we are offering 4 date choices for these “Nipperz” camps. As these younger kids have different energy levels, the camp runs Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays mornings from 10am til 12 midday. All wetsuits are provided and a happy mix of Bodyboarding, Surfing & Beach Games will keep everyone active and excited. We run a smaller ratios camp to ensure every childs enjoyment and confidence building in fun water activities.

So, for your 8 to 12 year olds we have a new and improved weeklong camp. 5 Days Monday to Friday from 10am to 3pm. Our Super Sea Camp includes Surfing, Body Boarding, Coasteering, Kite Flying & Beach Olympics. We provide all necessary equipment but participants are welcome to bring their own wetsuits etc. The camp is run by a well trained & qualified group of Instructors in all of the activities and your childs safety, enjoyment & learning is our number one priority. There is a maximum of 16 kids per camp and we rotate the activities to suit the kid’s needs and weather on a daily basis. As standard all kids on the camp receive an exciting end of week “Surftificate” and a cool Camp tshirt!

For Teenagers from 13 to 17 we have our ever popular “Gromz Surf Camp”. Basically they are on every Monday & Tuesday throughout the Summer from 10am in the morning til 4pm in the afternoon. Over the two days we cover all the key basic surf skills & techniques, water safety & surf etiquette as well as trying different types of surf boards. For those with some surf experience we can also offer more progressive skills coaching and indeed introduce performance Body Boarding skills. These camps are so freely available that you can also book them relatively last minute or indeed if you have a ready to go group and dates you require well then just give us a call.  

Pricing

• SuperSea Summer Camp 8 – 12 yr olds. 150E for the week. Discounts for 2 Siblings or more.
• Gromz Teenage “Learn to Surf Camps” 13 – 17 year olds. 99E per person. 75E for every subsequent camp.
• We also offer discounts to two or more siblings coming from the same household.

What to bring

For all courses we ask that participants are on time and arrive 5 mins before the start time of their camp. The Course director for your camp will meet you and sign in. All students should arrive with the following:

• Day 1 of the Camp, full balance of the appropriate Camp fee & a fully signed booking form.
• With sun cream & protective wear according to the weather.
• A decent pack lunch & drink for the day.
• Any inhalers / medication that might be necessary.

How to Book

Our booking process is simple and straight forward, either request a booking form by post or email, or you can download it from our website. The complete the form fully and return it with a 25E deposit which is payable by cheque, laser, visa, mastercard, postal order, bank draft or cash. You can post it to : Jon Hynes, Gtown Surf School, Coolbawn, Garrettstown, Co. Cork,Ireland . We will then confirm your booking by text / email. The balance of all course fee’s are then due on the 1st morning of your childs Summer Camp.

Booking Conditions.

• All booking forms must be accompanied by a €25 deposit per child. 
• Call for details on Family Discounts.
• All Surf Dudes must have a parent / guardian onsite during the camp.
• Gtown Surf School must be notified of any relevant medical conditions or injuries that may affect a childs participation.
