Surf Safety Lessons
Most people start their surf career through a series of beginner lessons and then buy their own equipment and set about learning the ropes, sometimes the hard way. At Gtown Surf School we have the experience of many years surfing and teaching that can help you access the skills & knowledge you will need to become a more independent surfer.
Our half day program on Surf Safety is built around a mixture of practical & theory sessions designed to making the learning fun and informative. Topic's included are:
- Surf Break assessment for identifying hazards / risks & safe entry points.
- Wind, weather & tidal information understanding.
- What to do if in trouble.
- Self rescue techniques.
- Safety equipment.
- Winter warmth advice.
- Good Surfing Etiquette & Rules.
- Safe surfing pointers.
This session is available at a cost of €50 per person for 3 hours activity / tuition. Group discounts apply.
