Its been a very busy year for Jon & the team at Gtown, but now as the season winds down its time for the team to get some real surfing done!
The excellent weather this year has kept the ocean warm and the last weeks have seen some great surf sessions. Mid October saw one of the biggest swells of the season passed through. Needless to say the boys were in the thick of it.
Dan is finishing off his season at Gtown, and after graduating with a Degree in Outdoor Education he is now preparing for world travels. He is hitting Bali in November to surf his brains out Jon & Eoin and then heads on to New Zealand for a year of epic adventure. Best of luck Dan and thanks for all your help this year!
Jon was away in Kerry for most of September working a top secret project! More about that in the Spring but has recently taken up Kitesurfing! In a previous life Jon was a passionate windsurfer and so his curiosity got the better of him. “Its so easy to learn!” so now I have something to squeeze more action out of those windy onshore days too! Jon is off to Bali again this November with plans to surf some of the worlds premier wave spots.

The Surf School remains open right throughout the winter subject to safe surfing weather. We are equipped with a great range of toasty warm winter wetsuits, booties, gloves & hoods. So there is no reason to be cold, in many ways winter is a great time to surf! Better waves, committed water people & good atmosphere!
Hope to see you in the water soon!
